Your Role

The Digital Experience team plays a leadership role in the customer experience we deliver to our members and all our key constituents. Our membership is over 4.5 million strong and growing, and we serve one of the most dynamic healthcare markets in the U.S. The Sr. Principal, Digital Product Manager will report to the Vice President, Digital Experience. In this role you will play a key leadership role on the Digital team and will create the roadmap for digital technologies, capabilities, use of data analytics and machine learning to improve digital performance, and enable our future-state healthcare experience worthy of family and friends. The Sr. Principal role will also be responsible for assessing existing and new digital technologies and their implications for our long-term roadmap. Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Conducting research and developing a good understanding of the customer's needs, new technologies, trends in the market, and competitors
  • Define and implement the short-term roadmap and long-term engagement model for executing on member facing digital products
  • Accountability and prioritization over execution and delivery of the digital product roadmap for member experiences
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, including engineers, designers, and business stakeholders, in a fast paced, agile environment and be responsible for conception, design, development, delivery, maintenance, and evolution of the customer experience including translating business and user needs into product features
  • Review, analyze, collect and take action on qualitative and quantitative findings from Customer Satisfaction Surveys, user testing and additional customer feedback loops including google analytics, performance monitoring, etc.
  • Overseeing the Digital organization's rapid development and implementation of digital prototypes, pilots and new experiences that support Blue Shield's innovation and transformation portfolios
  • Driving the 3-5 year Digital Roadmap in collaboration with other Digital leadership and key business partners
  • Developing the business case for new products and the analysis, design, testing, and integration of products to be scaled from innovation and transformation pilots
  • Facilitating cross-functional governance of the new product pipeline to enable innovation and transformation portfolio outcomes
  • Serving as SME on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge as applied to Digital capabilities and products

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience managing product development deliverables such as requirements documentation, analytics, design reviews, implementation, and delivery 
  • Ability to lead implementation of key cross-channel, consumer-facing initiatives, informed by customer needs and industry trends, and develop data-driven product deliverables with relevant measurable KPIs  
  • Coordinating with a diverse set of director and executive stakeholders in the process to align with product vision
  • Ability to partner with analytics team to define critical KPIs, understand what the data means, and integrate it into your reporting and planning
  • HealthCare, Financial Services, Tech or Retail experience
  • 10+ Years Product Management Experience in a software/digital product environment
  • Bachelor's degree; MBA a plus
