About Your Team

This position is located in our brand-new Oakland City Center location.

 

About Your Work

As the Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating the creation of innovative clinical programs with large impact for both patients and the healthcare team at scale.  As part of a cross-functional team, you will partner directly with medical leadership and strategic planning leads. You will perform crucial program management in support of new clinical initiatives and proposals for new programs.

 

You will focus on

  • Lead internal and external meetings, workgroups and coalitions designing and developing new, innovative clinical programs.
  • Support the team in developing creative ideas to the company’s operations and clinical services organizations.
  • Expertly coordinate the work of a workgroup consisting of both internal and external stakeholders and medical leadership.
  • Facilitate the creation of business cases for new initiatives and proposals, helping to drive the critical analysis of the viability of new opportunities and alignment with business and innovation strategy.
  • Create and maintain effective communication mechanisms both internally and with external partners, including shared team spaces and documentation.
  • Work both internally and externally to perform ongoing measurement, monitoring and executive level reporting of progress on key metrics.
  • Ensure that the scope of the projects within the program align with business priorities.  
  • Provide steady guidance in the face of uncertainty, change, and aggressive deadlines common to a rapidly growing company with an evolving business model. 
  • Manage program-level risks and interdependencies.
  • Introduce our teams to the latest innovative thinking and ideas from the broader Agile or Project Delivery Community, leveraging PMI, Lean, or Agile methods to achieve optimal effectiveness. 

The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience with project management and/or program development and evaluation.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in healthcare quality improvement and/or healthcare delivery systems.
  • Technically proficient having broad background in problem solving tools, such as design thinking, LEAN process improvement, etc.
  • Project Management certification preferred.
  • Experience in Agile Methodology preferred.
  • Subject matter expert in sophisticated, best-practices organizational development, process improvement or project management processes.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to successfully interact with all levels of management.
  • Ability to operate at a strategic business level to ensures projects/programs are in line with Altais strategic goals
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to consult with all levels including senior management, make recommendations, and influence decision-making.
  • Ability to effectively maneuver through organizational dynamics and tailor approach to ensure optimal outcome.
  • Proven ability to determine key business issues, develop effective action plans and implement to successful conclusion.
  • Be highly entrepreneurial and influence leaders, product, and technology teams on Agile or Project Delivery principles, and how to build, grow, and maintain a thriving and sustainable Agile or Project Delivery organization. 
  • Ability to communicate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization.
  • Superb communication skills, proficient oral and written presentation.
  • Expert of project management and collaboration tools – such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, MS project and SmartSheets.
