This position is located in our brand-new Oakland City Center location.

 

About Your Work
As the Practice Success Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving change across various levels of the healthcare system. You will be responsible for enabling a culture of continuous improvement, supporting the implementation of value-based payment models, working directly with physicians and care teams across the state of California. 

As the Program Manager on the Practice Success Team, you will perform crucial program management, and develop and drive communication strategies in support of our physician partners as they define the future of care delivery, implement new technologies and workflows, and ensure sustainable innovation.

You will focus on

  • Participate in internal and external meetings, workgroups and coalitions related to practice transformation programs and interventions.
  • Effectively coordinate the work of a workgroup engaged in practice transformation activities.
  • Provide steady guidance in the face of uncertainty, change, and aggressive deadlines common to a rapidly growing company with an evolving business model. 
  • Create, maintain, and present client dashboards in both internal and external meetings.
  • Develop and perform outreach campaigns and manage communication to partner physician practices.
  • Work both internally and externally with clients to track program progress and maintain accurate reporting.
  • Create and maintain of shared team spaces and documentation.
  • Perform ongoing measurement, monitoring and reporting of progress on key metrics.
  • Ensure that the scope of the projects within the program align with business priorities.
  • Manage program-level risks and interdependencies.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings and foster teamwork; drive escalation and resolution of issues, while promoting collaboration and coordination. 
  • Develop schedule to ensure timely completion of projects and meeting interim deadlines of projects.  
  • Ensure all phase gates and the appropriate documentation is completed.  Introduce our teams to the latest innovative thinking and ideas from the broader Agile or Project Delivery Community, leveraging PMI, Lean, or Agile methods to achieve optimal effectiveness.  
  • Responsible for making moderate to significant improvements of processes or deliverables to enhance performance of the team.
  • Accurately and independently complete tasks within established times and to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.

 

The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with project management and/or program development and evaluation.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in healthcare quality improvement and/or healthcare delivery systems.
  • Experience in external consulting preferred.
  • Experience in Agile Methodology preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in driving cross-functional projects. Proficiency in navigating complex programs and driving/collaborating on components to support the larger scope.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management and collaboration tools – such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, MS project and SmartSheets.
  • Requires deep knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. 
  • Typically, viewed as a specialist within discipline. May have broad knowledge of project management.
  • Ability to interact with all levels including senior management, clients, and partner practices and influence decision-making. 
  • Superb communication skills, proficient oral and written presentation.
