We believe that people are our greatest asset and looking for an exceptional Manager, Clinical Data Science and Advanced Analytics to join the Altais Data Engineering team and deliver inspired solutions that change the way healthcare is delivered.

 

About Your Work

The Manager, Clinical Data Science and Advanced Analytics will collaborate with a cross-functional group including clinicians, business leaders, product management, and regulatory and privacy team members to identify and define clinical and strategic initiatives in need of data science insights.

This role will organize and allocate work across and among the data science team to maximum productive output, team engagement, while promoting cross training.  Additionally, the role will own the data science framework and methodologies, and ensure accountability, traceability, and accuracy of derived insights. 

 

The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring

  • 7+ years of data science experience.
  • 3+ years managing teams.
  • 5+ years in SQL and one scripting language (such as Python, R, etc.).
  • BS in quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Computer Science), or equivalent experience.
  • Proven leadership, relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills, including the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excited to make Clinicians and Business leaders successful with the deployed models and feel pride of ownership in the solutions enabled by your work.
  • Strong knowledge of experimentation and statistical methods.
  • Understanding of and willingness to adopt data science accountability methods
  • A bias for action in applying analytics to solve problems and a focus on identifying efficient solutions to complex issues.
  • Enjoy developing, explaining, and defending an evidence-based point-of-view.
  • Skilled with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Jupyter Notebook).
  • Understand ML based and statistical techniques to determine root causes of metric movements including causality and correlations between metrics, personalized ranking.
  • Proficiency with Python and experience with data processing tools (e.g., scipy, numpy, pandas, Pytorch, Spark, etc.).
  • Understand techniques required to automate tuning of forecasting and anomaly detection algorithms, ideally using ML as a foundation.
  • A strong understanding and command of SQL and relational databases.
  • Driven by a deep intellectual curiosity.
  • Clinical Healthcare knowledge is a plus.
