This position is located in our brand-new Oakland City Center location.


About Your Work
As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for the development, execution and management of sales strategies to drive revenue growth across various healthcare segments. This includes development of segment and product specific sales plans; leadership on sales strategy including growth into new segments; proposal development; and competitive positioning. You will be responsible for planning, increasing and expanding on business opportunities to market, selling services and products, as well as overseeing the sales organization. You will develop plans, campaigns, and strategies designed to achieve annual sales targets.

You will focus on:

  • Build an enterprise-level sales organization from the ground up.
  • Drive sales in pursuing and successfully securing new customers, as well as expanding services across existing customers. Solicit and respond to RFPs, coordinate and/or lead finalist presentations and site visits. Lead proposal development to assure optimum and strategic positioning of Altais programs and service capabilities. 
  • Develop annual sales plans to achieve strategic and tactical sales growth and margin objectives by prospects and suspects. 
  • Assess market dynamics; develop and execute a sales growth strategy based on market trends, Altais capabilities, competitive environment, and segment growth forecast.
  • Direct development of product- and market-specific sales plans that enhance revenue growth and reflect current healthcare policy and trends in the healthcare segments. Work with segment leaders and other members of the leadership team to ensure sales priorities dovetail with operations capabilities and resources. 
  • Utilize market analysis data to create actionable sales targets with defined sales and market development plans. Conduct routine sales summit meetings with key matrix partners to ensure alignment within the organization.
  • Create defined sales process and utilize sales effectiveness tools and reporting. 
  • Direct development of robust sales pipeline in assigned lines of business.
  • Forecast annual and quarterly revenue streams from new business and work with sales operations to create attainable sales goals for the team.
  • Partner with the Customer Success (post sales support) and other internal cross-functional teams (e.g. Integrated Go-to-market teams, Product and Engineering teams, Practise Transformation etc) to support identification and development of product and service offerings, including definition of customer needs, product features, pricing and distribution strategy. 
  • Develop and maintain external relationships with industry C-suite decision-makers throughout assigned territory to ensure Altais's brand is widely disseminated and understood.
  • Provide direct input to the product team for the development of comprehensive competitor tracking function, including identification of current and future competitors by line of business.
  • Educate executive management regarding overall sales priorities, business development strategy, and contract-specific tactics for large/complex opportunities.
  • Act as an executive resource at professional and industry events, including conferences, professional forums, health fairs, etc.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.


The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring

  • Required 12+ years in healthcare related environment (Providers: Integrated Delivery Networks, Clinically Integrated Networks, Accountable Care Organizations, Ambulatory Care settings, Physician Groups, Payers, knowledge of Value-based Care Reimbursement Models).
  • MBA or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive sales strategy execution experience.
  • Experience with building and taking a digital health product to market a plus.
  • Experience with building and managing a sales team.
  • Leadership through coaching and facilitation, unafraid to lean in and work cross-functionally.
